I bought the 'Candy' evening dress to wear at a formal evening wedding. Ordering was a breeze and it arrived very quickly, packed neatly in a small, flat box. The dress matches the photo so no unpleasant surprises there. Too much beading often looks garish but the black beading on the black dress makes for a more subdued and elegant look. I would have preferred no beading on the rear but these days even the best designers seem to not care about that anymore (no or hardly any beading on rear used to be done so you wouldn't damage beads when sitting down). The dress fits me very well, even though it's a few inches too long for my short frame (I'm barely 5'4). I knew it would be too long because the length is mentioned on the site. I didn't have it altered; I just wear my 4 inch killer heels with it. I do wish The Evening Store would make their dresses in a 'petite' variety, though! But I'm very happy with my shopping experience and with my dress.
